Arsenal’s hat-trick hero in the win over United, Sylvain Wiltord was a quality forward who netted 17 times that season for the Gunners, his most prolific campaign at the club.

This included the winning goal as Wenger’s side beat United 1-0 in the Premier League in May, a result which clinched the club their second Premier League title.

In his debut season the season before, the French international netted 15 times, while in the 2002/03 season, he found the net 13 times.

Although he was not a prominent part of the ‘Invincibles’ side of 2003/04, Wiltord still made 12 league appearances in that season, and scored three goals.

Wiltord left Arsenal in 2004 and went on to play for Lyon and Rennes, amongst others, before retiring in June 2012.

He has since been involved with punditry for French television.
