Arsenal are close to the signing of former Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco, according to Talksport

The Belgium international is currently playing his football for Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League, following a shock move last summer.

At just 25 years-old, Carrasco has many years of football left in him and is thought to want a return to European football.

It will be a big loss to football in the Far East, with a young player of Carrasco’s stature deciding not to continue his career there.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery could make another move for Carrasco after missing out in January.

The Chinese side are after €30million for their star, a fee which put off Arsenal in January with Unai Emery choosing a loan move for Dennis Suarez instead.

But with Inter Milan also reporting interest, Arsenal could push the deal over the line. A transfer would certainly please the fans with Carrasco a regular member of the Atletico Madrid team and 31 Belgium caps to his name.
