Arsenal have approached Real Madrid over the possibility of signing winger Lucas Vazquez, according to reports.

Unai Emery is keen to add to his squad this summer but has only been able to add Brazilian youngster Gabriel Martinelli so far.

The Spanish boss is looking to add to his attacking ranks, especially with Danny Welbeck having departed the Emirates following the expiration of his contract.

And Spanish publication AS claim that the Gunners are keen on adding Vazquez, who made just 15 La Liga starts last term, to their squad.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen to bring in defensive reinforcements this summer.

The 28-year-old has made 183 appearances for Los Blancos in three seasons, winning 10 major trophies, including three Champions League winner’s medals.

However, with Eden Hazard arriving from Chelsea, the Spain international will find himself further down the pecking order.

Real are willing to cash in on their academy product as they look to bring in some funds after spending £190million already this summer.

It’s claimed Vazquez would be interested in a move to Arsenal but the North London side may have to act quickly as Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich are also reportedly keen.
