Arsenal submit opening bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to BBC Sport.
The BBC report The Gunners have bid in the region of £40million for the former Manchester United player and expect the bid to be rejected by Palace.
Rumours this week suggested Arsenal would be willing to sell last season’s top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang in order to raise the funds to bring Zaha to the Emirates.
The explosive winger played 36 games for the Eagles last campaign, scoring ten goals and providing ten assists in the process.

Widely known as one of the most skilful players in the Premier League, Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen to use the Nigeria international’s talents to help propel his side back into the top four.
This transfer saga is sure to roll on throughout the summer as Crystal Palace value the 26-year-old at £80million, a fee far higher than Arsenal’s initial bid.
