Arsenal are to reignite their interest in signing Sevilla star Ever Banega, according to the Mirror.

The midfielder is a priority on Gunners manager Unai Emery’s wish-list of players to replace Aaron Ramsey who will leave at the end of the season for Juventus.

It was widely reported that the North London side wanted to sign the 30-year-old in January, however did not have the funds to do so.

With their interest still high in the playmaker, it is claimed that they will try to sign him again in the summer.

Banega represented Argentina at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Sevilla are willing to lose Banega but only if any other club meets their valuation of £17million.

Emery has managed the Argentina international twice, at both Sevilla and Valencia, and would like to make him part of his rebuilding project at the Emirates.

Banega is an important figure in Sevilla’s squad, making 22 La Liga appearances as well as playing a pivotal role in their European campaign.

The South American is in his second spell with the Spanish club who he helped win the Europa League in both 2015 and 2016.
