Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kieran Trippier has emerged as a target for Atletico Madrid, according to reports.

The England international has struggled for form this season after impressing last term and at the 2018 World Cup.

Now the Daily Mail report that the 28-year-old could be set to leave North London with Atletico Madrid preparing a bid of around £15million.

The Spanish are also targeting FC Porto left-back Alex Telles but are also looking to strengthen the right side of their backline.

It’s been an inconsistent season for Trippier since his World Cup heroics.

Italian side Napoli are also claimed to be interested in the ex-Burnley star who still has five years left to run on his contract.

Although he’s struggled for consistency recently, it’s unlikely Spurs will let Trippier move on for that price, especially as he has played a key part in the club’s run to the Champions League semi-final.

Since joining Tottenham in 2015, the Bury-born defender has played 109 times under Mauricio Pochettino.
