Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Ajax striker, Dillon Hoogewerf, according to the Daily Mail.

The 16-year-old starlet is turning heads having scored 10 goals and registered six assists this season for the Amsterdam outfit’s Under-17s.

As well as being rewarded with a promotion to the Under-19s, the forward’s performances have also caught the interest of the Red Devils.

The Eredivisie champion’s head of youth education Said Ousaali has already confirmed in a statement that the Netherlands Under-16 international will be leaving for a foreign club, leading to speculation that the Premier League giants may be purchasing the wonderkid.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær will be expecting plenty of transfer activity at Old Trafford this summer.

United have had a history of purchasing young Dutch prospects before, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Millen Baars both making the move to Old Trafford.

This summer will be manager Ole Gunnar Soskjaer’s first and he will be looking to improve on his squad that finished sixth in the Premier League.

With the Norwegian boss also being linked with a swoop for Swansea City’s Daniel James, it is clear that they are looking to re-build their squad with young fresh talent.
