Manchester United are close to securing a £50million Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Press Association Sport

After signing Daniel James from Swansea earlier this summer, it seems the Red side of Manchester will secure the 21-year-old right back.

The Press Association Sport report that progress was made with positive talks on Tuesday with an initial fee of £45million agreed with a further £5million in potential add-ons.

Ex-Swansea winger Daniel James was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing of the summer.

It’s clear that the Red Devils are desperate to fill the right back position, having lost Antonio Valencia and Diogo Dalot not ready for regular first team football.

Wan-Bissaka has endured a difficult few weeks at the Euro u21 European Championships having scored a late own goal in England’s 2-1 loss to France, subsequently being dropped for the Three Lions next two games.

Although United fans won’t worry about one poor error and the relative Premier League newcomer will be expected to move straight in to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting 11.
