Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to reports.
Portuguese outlet A Bola claim that United are confident that they can complete the transfer of the 24-year-old- potentially by the end of next week.
Fernandes has been pivotal to Sporting’s season, scoring 29 goals and 17 assists in 48 appearances but now looks set to move on with Manchester City also interested.
Sporting have placed an £88million release clause on the player, but both United and City are not willing to pay that amount.

The Red Devils are reportedly ready to submit a £62million bid for the Portugal international which should be enough for Sporting.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to improve his side before the start of next season and is expected to make multiple signings to try and cut the gap to Liverpool and City.
United could only finish sixth in the Premier League, missing out on Champions League qualification.
