Manchester United are close to striking a deal for Swansea City winger Daniel James, according to Sky Sports.

It has been reported that the Red Devils have made a £15million offer to the Welsh side to sign the 21-year-old.

In the January transfer window the Wales international nearly made a switch to fellow Championship side, Leeds United.

However, the deal fell through with hours left before the window shut due to Swansea pulling the plug.

James has been an important player for the Swans this season, making 38 appearances in all competitions.

James has scored five times and assisted seven others for Swansea this term.
