Manchester United are trying to convince AC Milan defender Davide Calabria to sign for them this summer, according to reports.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to strengthen his squad this summer with defensive reinforcements one of his priorities after his side’s Champions League exit to FC Barcelona.

And Calciomercato claim that the Norwegian boss is keen on the 22-year-old full-back who has made 32 appearances for his current club this term.

Calabria’s contract runs until the summer of 2022 at the San Siro but the Italian side are trying to get their man on a longer more lucrative deal.

However, it’s thought that the Red Devils will try to take advantage of this and make their move for the Italian.

It’s clear to see that United are in need of a right-back with Antonio Valencia set to depart Old Trafford this simmer and Matteo Darmian’s future unclear.

With Diogo Dalot still settling in and developing, this led to Solskjaer selecting Victor Lindelof at full-back against Barcelona.

Tottenham Hotspur, who progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time this week, have also been linked with Calabria.
